We provide a programme of lectures and other events to promote an interest and understanding of all aspects of local and social history of the area and Bristol as a whole. We undertake and encourage research into all aspects of history of the area and encourage knowledge, appreciation and preservation of the history of the area.
The society always welcomes any historical information or material for copying which could be stored in the archives. The society is open to any person who pays the fee for the year.
Meetings are held every month (except July, August and December) at the Society of Friends Meeting House, 300 Gloucester Road, Bishopston. If you are interested why not come along to our next lecture and see for yourself.
